A diamond's beauty is a relationship between its cut, proportions, color, clarity, and the way it is set. We want the details behind every UMA piece to be easy to understand.
Origin matters.
Lab-grown diamonds are diamonds created in a controlled environment; natural diamonds form through geological processes. Origin is disclosed for the specific piece and must never be inferred from a photograph. The Lumière Solitaire example is identified as lab-grown. Natural-diamond requests can be discussed individually.
The four Cs
| Detail | What it tells you |

| Cut | How a diamond's proportions and finish interact with light. Shape and cut quality are different characteristics. |
| Color | The degree of color present. Specifications may describe a range when several stones are used. |
| Clarity | The presence of internal and surface characteristics, assessed under magnification. |
| Carat | Weight, not a fixed visual diameter. Total carat weight is the combined weight of diamonds in a piece. |
Reports and certification
An independent grading report is included only when confirmed for the exact stone or piece. Small diamonds in multi-stone designs do not necessarily each have an individual report. We will identify the laboratory and available documentation before you order.
The setting changes the feeling.
Four prongs let a solitaire feel open and light. A bezel offers a continuous rim. Pavé adds a finer rhythm of small stones. The right choice is as much about your daily life as the way it looks.
